Editor Victoria Sloss is the only familiar face in the new team. Her career with the CT - or Herald & Post as it was then began in 1996, following a move from her native Scotland, where she began her reporting career following the completion of a Journalism Studies HND at Napier University in Edinburgh. Over the years she has progressed through the ranks of chief reporter, news editor, deputy editor and has now been editor for over three years at the CT.

News editor and west Belfast reporter Colm Heaney is the only Canadian member of the new CT team. Born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta, he is a graduate of the journalism programme at Grant MacEwan College. After graduating, he took a job at the Drayton Valley (Alberta) Western Review. He has also reported for the Whistler (British Columbia) Question. From 2003 until recently he was a sub-editor at The Irish News.

Born in north Belfast but now living in Downpatrick, Michael Bashford is the new North Down & Ards reporter for The CT. Michael qualified as a journalist at BIFHE in 1998. Ever since then he has been working in the publishing industry, mainly online at www.4ni.co.uk and more recently the North Down and Ards Advertisers.

Micheal McCready is the North Belfast & Newtownabbey reporter for the paper. He has lived in north Belfast all his life and is a Queen's University graduate. He attained his journalist qualification in 2005 at the Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education. He previously worked as a freelance reporter for the Community Telegraph for two years.

Londonderry girl Grainne has called south Belfast her home for the past eight years after moving here in her teens to attened Queen's University. And with all this inside knowledge she is now the reporter for South Belfast. Gaining her journalism qualification from the Belfast Institute of Further and Higher Education in 2006, Grainne has worked as a reporter for the Belfast office of the Irish Times and had articles published in the Belfast Telegraph.

As East Belfast reporter for the new CT - the only paper dedicated to east Belfast — Sam wants to hear about the issues that affect readers. CT readers are the paper's eyes and ears so if you have a story call or email him at any time. Sam studied English Literature and newspaper journalism at the University of Ulster. He has worked as a freelance reporter for the Coleraine Journal and Belfast Telegraph.

Business Development Manager Mark Reilly has overall responsibility for The CT advertising team and the Door to Door leaflet distribution service. Born in east Belfast, he has spent almost 10 years in advertising with the Belfast Telegraph, Sunday Life and The CT. He also six years experience in direct marketing.

Ian Irwin is responsible for North Belfast business advertising. Ian was raised in Kesh, Co. Fermanagh, and has been living in Belfast for three years. He has three years experience with The CT in the north Belfast area.

Susan Simpson looks after business advertising in the North Down edition. Susan has family roots in north Down but now lives across the lough in Whitehead. She has spent three years in advertising, having worked in a number of roles for the Belfast Telegraph before joining The CT in June 2006.

Erina McAdam was brought up in Birmingham and has a fascinating accent. Erina's areas of responsibility are property, motors and West Belfast. She has 3 years advertising experience with The CT, covering North Belfast, North Down and now our classified advertising section.

Carryduff native Marc Atkinson now resides in south Belfast but looks after advertising for the East Belfast CT. After a year at the Newsletter, Marc joined The CT and has covered several areas over the last five years.

Kellie Horner is responsible for advertising in The CT's East and South Belfast editions. Born in east Belfast, Kellie has nearly 10 years experience in advertising across a number of titles and in various roles. She began her career in Ads for Free before gaining experience in the Business Telegraph, Belfast Telegraph property section and then moving to The CT.

The newest recruit to the advertising team, Martin McMullan has been here for a month and is responsible for new businesses and ad features. A native of Bangor, Martin originally trained as a painter and decorator and this experience leaves him perfectly placed to help our many advertisers in the popular services section.

Born in Belfast, Steven Busby now lives in Bangor. He is responsible for advertising in the North and West Belfast editions. Steven has nearly five years advertising experience across the portfolio of Independent News and Media Northern Ireland, with Sunday Life, Belfast Telegraph and for the last two years, The CT.
