Rogue's showcase 'dark side'
Tuesday, 1 July 2008
Belfast's Rogue’s Gallery is set to present an exhibition of paintings exploring the darker side of life.
Darkly Screaming, which runs from July 4-21, features the work of up-and-coming Irish artists, Dean McDowell and Sarah Sheil.
“The exhibition aims to uncover a sense inside the viewer of uncertainty but also an understanding surrounding the subjects,” explained a spokesman for The Rogue’s Gallery.
“Both artists are Irish painting talents
that are beginning to break through to a much wider and more international audience.”
The exhibition is free to enter and begins with a special preview evening on Friday, July 4, from 7-9pm.
