Hot accessories at Evans this summer
Tuesday, 1 July 2008
The secret is out — one of the hottest places to go for accessories this summer is Evans.
The brand is famous for its plus-size fashion for curvy women, but anyone can buy its fabulous collection of bags and jewellery, even skinny minnies!
Bangles and belts tend to be larger than usual to accommodate larger figures while necklaces often come with a longer chain.
And the store is great for finding footwear in wider fittings, in sizes four to 10.
But even if you don’t have wider feet you can still pick up great footwear, such as the bright and bold Georgina Goodman designer collection.
The trick is to go for a smaller size than you'd usually take and you could find the perfect pair of summer pumps.
This summer you can choose from on-trend Grecian leather sandals, summer wedges, ballet pumps and platform peep-toe shoes.
And all style-conscious ladies can snap up the fabulous handbags, necklaces and earrings.
The ethnic look is proving to be very popular this summer and Evans has lots of carved and wooden bangles for that ‘on safari' look.
This season, the cocktail ring has also come to the fore in terms of being a must-have trend.
These are big, bold and colourful, and have overtaken the handbag as this year's ‘it' accessory.
And at Evans, you can choose from a beautiful rose-shaped ring (£6), an over-the-top leopard print ring (£10) and a sparkly pink ring (£12), among others.
All the cocktail rings scream ‘bling', they're all super-sized too and meant to be seen.
When it comes to bags, you'll be spoilt for choice, whether you're looking for a shoulder bag, clutch bag or glam evening bag.
Among the ones to look out for is a blue leather shoulder bag (£35), which also comes in pink, a trendy black patent clutch (£15) and a patent clutch in shocking pink, which is a bargain at £12.
There’s no doubt that Evans is for all women.
