Police in south Belfast have announced a second public meeting in the Holy
Lands of the newly launched ‘Partners and Communities Together’ (PACT) — an
initiative set up to promote dialogue between residents and partner
agencies.
PSNI Inspector Jim Young said: “Our last meeting in April 2008 was very well
attended, indicating how passionately people feel about making the Holy Land
a better place to live.
“Also present were representatives from political parties, Belfast City
Council, the universities, Roads Service and a landlords’ association, plus
others.
“The meeting culminated in the selection of a PACT Panel, representing local
residents, students and key organisations to take this initiative forward.”
The next PACT public meeting takes place at 7pm on Thursday, May 22, in
University Avenue’s City Church.
