Belvoir
The Belvoir Girls’ Snooker Competition came to a conclusion
last Friday night, May 2, with Jessica McConaghie winning out against Jade
McIntyre by 34-23.
A Teddy Bears’ Picnic will be taking place in Belvoir Park
Forest on Wednesday, May 14, at 11am.
The day will begin with Lagan Valley Regional Park team leading a lovely
spring time stroll through the woods, starting in the Belvoir Park Forest
car park.
The event is free but booking is essential, so call 9049 1922 to reserve
your spot.
The Friends of Botanic Gardens will be holding a plant sale at the
Palm House, Botanic Gardens, on Saturday, May 10, from 10am to 1pm.
Proceeds will go towards the
restoration of the roof of the Tropical Ravine.

Belvoir Youth Club meets every week and is always looking for new
members.
Monday night from 7pm-9.30pm is Project Night; Tuesday evenings from
7pm-9.30pm is Carryduff Outreach Night and Wednesdays from 7pm-9.30pm is
Juniors’ Night (P4-P7).

The first ever Blackstaff Community Week is now over and organisers
have already set a date for next year’s festivities - April 27 to May 2,
2009.
All at the Blackstaff Community Development Association would like to
congratulate Margaret McGeagh and Tommy Roycroft on their marriage, which
took place on Friday, May 2.
Tommy is a retired senior editor of the Northern Constitution newspaper and
Margaret is the deputy chairwoman of the Blackstaff Community Development
Association.
Fane Street Primary School’s Car Boot Sale will be held in the
back car park of the school this Saturday, May 10, from 10am to 12noon.
All children must be supervised by an adult and refreshments will be
provided.
The testimonial game for Linfield defender William Murphy will be
held at Windsor Park on Saturday, May 10, at 3pm.
A full Linfield side will play a Rangers Legends football team.
Tickets for this game, priced £10 for adults and £5 concession, are on sale
from the Linfield Superstore and from a number of other venues.
There will be a celebration launch of the Nubia Play Park and Multi
Pitch and ‘Hope’ Community Garden at 10.30am on May 15.
The Greater Village Regeneration Trust cordially invites everybody to the
