'Disgraceful' attack
Wednesday, 25 June 2008
Police have branded the attempted robbery of a 97-year-old pensioner who suffered a heart attack following a terrifying break-in at his west Belfast home a “disgraceful crime”.
The four-man gang forced their way into the first floor of John Dunne’s Andersonstown Park South house at 1.30pm, on June 21.
They began to rummage for valuables when they were confronted by the 97-year-old. A struggle ensued. The thieves fled in what police believe was a grey or silver vehicle.
