Wednesday, 25 June 2008
Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy has announced new door-to-door transport services which will improve transport accessibility for older people and people with disabilities.
The scheme will apply to west Belfast and will allow members of the scheme to travel more easily in their local areas.
Mr Murphy said: “People will be eligible to become members of Door-to-Door transport if they are either in receipt of the higher rate mobility component of Disability Living Allowance, the higher rate care component of Disability Living Allowance, or the higher rate care component of Attendance Allowance, are registered blind, or are aged 80 or more.”
